Abstract

A detailed reaction network for the liquid-phase oxidation of cyclohexane has been proposed in the literature. The aim of this work is to select from the detailed kinetic mechanism a reduced set of reactions that captures the essential features of the reactive process within a user-defined accuracy with the aid of mathematical programming techniques. The reduced model is characterized with respect to the range of initial conditions using the ideas of flexibility analysis.
